2022 Championship Series Is Set

2022 Championship Series Is Set

The teams are now set for the 2022 MINK League Championship series which will begin on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

One team will be looking for their first MINK League title, the other, their eighth.

The Joplin Outlaws come out of the South division winning both the regular season title, and the Division postseason title after beating the Jeff City Renegades 4-2 on Tuesday. Strong pitching from the Outlaws held the Renegades to only two runs and smattering eleven hits. Jacob Machuca had the big hit of the game in the sixth, when he had a 3-run homer giving the Outlaws the lead for good. They head to the Championship series after snapping a three-game losing streak to end the regular season.

They will face the North Division postseason and regular season champion, the St. Joe Mustangs who beat the Clarinda A's 5-2 to head to their third straight Championship series. Both teams scratched out eight hits, but the Mustangs saved their firepower for the sixth when they scored five runs. Both Trevom McCollum and Jaxon Himel had 2 RBI on the night. Morichika Hama came in for a six out save to close the door and head the Mustangs back to the series.

St. Joseph, as the team with the better record, will get to host a max 2-games at home, and they've chosen to have it be Games 2 and (3). This means Thursday night, Game 1 will be in Joplin at Joe Becker Stadium at 7:00pm. Game 2 and 3 will be at historic Phil Welsh Stadium in St. Joseph.

All games will be streamed at no charge courtesy of uClickTV powered by MINK League TV and live scoring will be available right here on the website.

Congratulations to the Outlaws and the Mustangs. Everything starts on Thursday night!
