Jeff City Continues Winning With Post-Season Awards

Award season is shaping up to be just as sweet as the post-season for the Jefferson City Renegades. The MINK League has named manager Mike DeMilia the Bob Steinkamp Manager of the Year Award winner and general manager DeWayne Cartee the Jeff Post General Manager of the Year.

The front office tandem helped lead the Jefferson City Renegades to their first postseason AND won the whole thing this year taking down the St. Joseph Mustangs in the Championship Series.

DeMilia, the head baseball coach at Blair Oaks High School is no stranger to championships. He led his Blair Oaks squad to a Class 3 state title in 2019 and now the Renegades to a MINK title in 2023.

Cartee serves as the President of the Renegades Board and also is active in the Jefferson City community.

"2023 was a great year of MINK League baseball across the Midwest," noted MINK League Commissioner Ron Rodriguez. "The competition and talent of the players across the league was strong. The 2023 MINK League Champions Jefferson City Renegades have been a great organization from the first day they entered the league. Mike has been a big part of that. Not only were they successful on the field, but you could see the great team chemistry they had in the dugout. DeWayne and the board of Directors  provided a great experience for all teams that visited Vivion Field, and the Renegades contributed much to the Jefferson City community."

Congratulations to them both on an outstanding year!
