Merchants Michael Alt and A's Tucker Starling Take Home Top MINK League Honors for 2023

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI

At the conclusion of the 2023 MINK League season team managers vote on league player awards to honor and recognition outstanding achievements on the field.
 
The 2023 MINK League Player of the Year is Michael Alt from the Carroll Merchants. Alt hit a league leading .428 batting average and a .505 on base percentage on the year. Alt is an Outfielder playing at Lewis University.

The 2023 MINK League Pitcher of the Year is Clarinda A's Tucker Starling. Starling led the A's finishing 6-0 with a 1.31 ERA in seven starts. Starling gave up just eight runs, seven earned, in 48 innings, while striking out 36 batters. Starling pitches at Central Alabama Community College.

"It is an honor to recognize these two players and showcase their on-field success," said MINK League Commissioner Ron Rodriguez. "One of the joys each summer is watching players come together and play hard on the field, while becoming part of the local community" added Rodriguez. The M.I.N.K. Baseball League is a Summer Collegiate Baseball League that operates nine teams throughout the Midwest.
